Radar\laser detectors

Are there any of you guys using a radar\laser detector, If so what sort of success have you had in terms of early warnings etc. On a similar note, has anyone been unlucky enough to get any penalty points yet? I took my bosses Audi A6 out for work purposes a few months back and got a ticket for 70 in a 60 zone, the upside is it was 2 days before the points system was introduced

Used one down here in australia. Very effective. Dunno if they are the same cameras etc
The newer detectors pickup all the cameras and lasers. If you are about 20km/h (15mph?) over you will have enough time to slow down without breaking, depending on whether the road is straight and flat etc.
Faster than that, break and you will be OK.
Over here they use instant on radars, which turn on as you go past so they are harder to detect. Laser are also hard but the radar detectors pick em up with a bit of warning.

Can get jammers from the US so you can go fast as you like and they cant proove it.
