Pics from NW200 practise session

Postby Sgt_Major » Wed May 13, 2009 5:09 pm

Sad start to the weeks races: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ire ... 047063.stm

Eye witness reports suggest speeds in excess 160mph :( Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

On to the photos. Just a few from the session:

Was using a couple of borrowed lenses, namely the 70-200VR F2.8 (What a lens!!!!!!)

I used to ride an Aprilia rs250 - but I had a bad smash on it, so stuck with 4 wheels now :(

Thanks on the pic comments, I've loads more, including some of John, but I'm sitting on those at the minute so not to upset folks until he's better.

heh heh

I broke both my wrists, 3 ribs and tore the muscle that connects the shoulder to your chest.

2 years ago now and I'm still not fixed. Shoulder has been repaired, rips healed quick, but I had an op on my left wrist last oct and its worse now than it was before :(

I've somersaulted over more cars than I can remember down through the years. Written off four bikes. Broken legs on two pedestrians (one leg each, and they walked into the side of my bike when pi$$ed).

I still haven't got sense... and don't intend to!

Great photos!!!

lol baldrick, sounds like fun times :)

If my wrists get sorted, I might get back on 2 wheels, but right now I have only about 25% strength in them and ruptured ligaments in both, so handling a bike is out of the question

Really wanted a bike when I was teenager, never got round to it. Don't think I'd trust myself now

Fun times indeed... Successfully claimed from the opposition in ALL cases. Figure it!

Know where you're coming from with the wrists. On a charity run last year... badly organised... too many bikes on narrow roads. Much clutching and gear changes. I'd sprained my wrist a few weeks earlier... nothing much. The agony on the way home

Hope you get sorted soon.
