Why use girls name for cars? or called like female

Postby LSpec » Sun May 20, 2007 5:41 pm

I just notice in a lot of forums, that when someone refers to a car, they said "she". :r

also in 60 seconds movie, all of them refers to a car as she or use girls name.

I want to know why

Same thing as with boats I think.. Male names are bad luck for vehicles..

I think..

Last car I named was my old Daihatsu - called that one "White wonder" cause I wondered how it was still driving..

My friends think that my P&J is just a glorified flute extension. So it couldn't be female.

Why is a ship called a She?

There is always a great deal of bustle around her
There is always a gang of men about
She has a waist and stays
It takes a lot of paint to keep her good looking
It is not the initial expense that breaks you - it is the upkeep!
She can be decked out
It takes an experienced man to handle her correctly
And, without a man at the helm, she is uncontrollable
She shows her topside but hides her bottom and
When coming into port, always heads for the buoys!

lol, i will use your answer for an Email.

Sorry CJ,

seems I joined a band shortly after I posted that. Still, you could have said that it was an oboe. : )
