1995 GR - Ideal project

Postby jonny-b- » Thu Nov 08, 2007 12:02 pm

Spec is as follows:

95 GR
tiptronic
18inch alloys
nct'd 02/09
99k miles

This is my girlfiends car - very original car throughout, never abused. The reason it would make an ideal project is that it needs a bit of work, the torque convertor seems to be gone in the car - replaced the gearbox already but the mechanic seems to have had the tension wrong on torque convertor and its gone again!!!.
Another issue is the tappets they are sometimes noisy on cold start.
The wheels have only covered about 200 miles as when we got the gearbox sorted we bought the wheels!!!

Not sure of a price but open to suggestions!

I could be wrong but those wheels don't look like 18s ?
17s perhaps ?

Agreed - tyre profile looks too high to be 18"

They look like 18's to me with a 40 profile. They'll need a good offset for them not to rub on the front arch.

Seems like you've got a couple of expensive problems there. I don't share your optimism that a Tip GR with Tappet and Transmission problems would make a good project FTO.

They're definetly 18's, i have the original wheels as well so can sell without the 18's
