a full tank it's around 60 L on an FTO

so if with 60L you make 340 km it's not great !

I use less than a quarter a tank when I travel home and back at weekends, total of 120 miles. So that puts me at 480 miles a tank!? Jesus!
Used a full tank the day of the meet, from cork to dublin, and back down to woodenbridge, which is only 205 miles, something not right there....

Do ye want to know what the measly little GS does or would that just annoy ye mivec boys?
And yes, I would still swap for a mivec if I could, even if it would completely empty my wallet.

Far as I remember from the meet Chris drove the same miles as me in his one and only had to stop on the way back down to cork to refuel, as I did too, again, after putting a good shot of petrol in the morning in woodenbridge.

Just for comparison, the first 1000k in mine I averaged just over 36mpg, was very surprised with that, even for a GS. With the 60l tank that works out over 480miles to the tank.
However, the weekend of the meet... lets just say boys will be boys...

The first half of the tank goes slowly, the second half a good bit faster.
You can't just double your mileage for the first half.

I drove from Dublin to Limerick, around Limerick, down to Kerry and back to Dublin the other weekend, approx 700kms and it took pretty much a full tank. That included the 1 hour in heavy Dublin city traffic, luggage and 1 passanger. Cost roughly 60 euros! I thought that was great mpg.
Was using the brilliant Maxol E5 (99.2 Ron) :D

Less than 6km per litre??? Thats very thirsty. My Zed does an average of 10km per litre at MfFTO pace and my GPX was a lot more economical again than my Zed. Methinks your driving style could be a factor - if you rag the car its not gonna do anything for your economy.

Wait untill your fuel light comes on - put in 50litres of fuel and zero the odometer - then come back on here with the mileage figure the next time the fuel light comes on - we'll be able to get a more accurate idea of your fuel economy figures.

300miles to a tank is good thoi if you use super unleaded like optimax i can get maybe 330miles. sayin that its better to keep her filled up i think as for sumreason its more economical(think its to do with the pump) ie. dont let it go past the half way mark unless your changeing filters. to be only getting 210miles to a tank is way bad. maybe the engine temp sensor or a service is due

Its all about driving style - I've gotten anywhere from 280 to 530 kms out of a tank of fuel in the FTO. Higher octane petriol will also offer up better MPG.

I got 200kms out of the first tank of fuel in the VR-4, lets hope the second tank lasts longer!

As ye know I drive a mivec, petrol wise I only use the V-Power, and €30.00 is all I spend every 2 wk's?

Then again I have no life  it's only to work & back? :r

I generally get about 550/600kms to a tankful - that's doing the daily commute.. I'm cetainly not driving the bejaysus out of her.

I have managed to use a tank doing just around 300/350kms but I was really pushing the envelope when I did that.. I'm sure it's possible to burn fuel even faster - but I think that should be kept on private roads ;-)

I'm fairly happy with the economy of the FTO - it's all about gearchanges and taking off the heavy shoes before going for a schpin.
