real List

I think dave 100's point might be on the mark, finances dictated a lot of the crap that many of us drove.
Like to point out that the only car on my list I really had was the 79 Toyota Starlet but I now wish I had a Austin Metro Estate (if they ever existed)

Some of your lists have a good range of nippy cars.... the only thing I ever had with with any oomph before my GPx was a Civic Vtec Saloon. Fantastic reliable engine which gave me a bit of a taste for Jap cars.

I like the way a lot of you had at least a couple of FTO's... says a lot for the general opinion of the car as there is quite a lot of variety in your earlier cars.

That R8 is gonna be something else.

My motors:

1) Seat Ibiza 1L
2) Mitsubishi FTO 1.8 GS
3) Audi TT Roadster 1.8 225bhp
4) Honda S2000 (current)
5) Toyota Hilux Intimidator 3L (current)

I was looking at the EVO VIII yesterday out of UK. If I have to change the S2000 next year to accomodate the new family member I would be looking for a silver or a red EVO VIII. Some motor. The Subaru WRX's are even cheaper, but prefer the EVO.

Here's my slightly embarrassing list lol:

First car (mother gave it to me) A Yugo (look it up) 8)
2nd Car: 1996 Mitsi Colt 1.3 :)
3rd Car 2000 Fiat Punto Sporting (6 gear). Not bad at the time lol
4th 1997 FTO GX
You know, somebody actually complimented me on my driving today. They left a little note on the windscreen, it said 'Parking Fine'.

Yea, it was my dream car at the time.... a bit stiff for some of our crappy roads but it was well rapid and not much could stick with it in the twisties... :)

My list as follows-no sniggering at the back-had a shaky start but im going back 14 yrs

1985 Vauxhall Nova 1.3SR
1986 Vauxhall Nova 1.3SR
1988 Citroen AX GT
1989 Citroen AX GT
1991 Toyota MR2
1995 Toyota MR2 Turbo
1999 Mitsu EVO VI
1997 Alfa 2.0 GTV Coupe- woeful after the EVO!
1995 Mitsu FTO GPX

Can you spot the bit where my mortgage went through the roof

That's a sweet list of cars... there was a time when I really wanted an MR2 turbo but I was more a Subaru man than an Evo man back then - now (being that bit older) I'd definitely go for an Evo...

Looks great - it has a look of the new TT about it (which, rumour has it, is a great car this time around).

Yeah it has definately evolved from the TT, but it is also supposed to have taken some looks from the car Will Smith drove in I Robot!

My two favourites didn't display properly..

What do you think of the polishing job... did that all myself :)

Soc. .... I recommend you get a CBR 600 FS factory restricted.... Then either wait the two years after you get your full license or just replace the ECU with an non restricted version and full speed ahead..

i miss driving the bikes ... but not in this weather! lethal past time, far too many near misses

I didn't realise you could get a factory restricted CBR - looks like I've a bit more choice now...
