Think this deserves it's own thread in case anyone goes searching for it.
I found the FTO to be very quick on the straights, with some cars not being able to keep up. I was very tough on corners, absolutely hoofed the car into them and it handled surprisingly well. Body roll is minimal, understeer was a tad annoying but at the same time controllable. LSD helped with powering out of corners. Took aggressive gear changing at high revs well, and braking as late as possible didn't pose any problems, bar some small squealing coming down from 145km or so into a bad hairpin. New discs and red stuff pads helped, having old discs will definitely result in warpage.
Engine didn't overheat, needn't have popped the bonnet at all. Did quite long stints with no giving out, the longest being 45 mins. Back end was a little bit ar$e happy at times but again, nothing uncontrollable. Only noticed it once or twice, but by the looks of the chunks gone out of the back left tyre I'd say she was a bit more twitchy than I felt. Limits can be pushed very hard in this car. All in all absolutely cracking car on track, very underrated. Many very surprised at it's quickness and the fact that it had a V6 which they only figured out when they heard it going flat out. Oddly enough, only used a quarter of my tank, and I went out for long sessions with mivec being opened up on a continuous basis. Don't know what was going on there!! On a normal driving day mivecing it eats petrol!
