Hey lads,
Well, im finally getting off my ar$e and looking about importing a nice fto soon as my mirage is on its last leg. Question is though has anyone used the above to import before?

Ive seen a few nice ones at a great price that im interested in, i wont be directly importing it myself as a mate of mine will be doing it.

I can recommend www.nikkyo.gr.jp , their fees are a lot less than most. I know a few guys who bought cars off tradecarview and I've heard good comments from them. As I understand it, most of the cars for sale are from dealers as opposed to auction so expect to pay slightly more. Suggest you take some time to review both routes in terms of value for money.

I cant seem to find any that i like so far but have found two in the UK that im interested in, so instead of starting a new thread just wondering does anyone have any tips for buying from the UK. Im a bit more weary as you cant physically inspect the car as easily and such. Cheers

It took me 2 months of daily auction site checking to find a red late model V6 in good condition, persistance is key but time is of the essence. At this point, I wouldn't chance importing from Japan, the July deadline is too close for my liking....

That was the original plan, ive been keeping an eye on a few auction sites for the past few months and was tempted by one from tradecarview but, just as you said, with the deadline coming closer ive turned my eye to the UK for one. Im very picky though Ive found a good one and just gotten pics from the inside, il post them up shortly for the experts here to take a gander at:)
