FTO Ice and Centre Console ideas

Hey all.

Managed to crack the centre console recently (not unusual) and was looking around the net for some ideas as to replacing the console or modifying it.
I'd like to hear anyones views or even pictures of work they may have done. I only have a single DIN unit and a crappy tray in below it that came with the car. The radio also doesn't have a fitting mounting bracket (sits out quite far) and I had to rewire the whole thing from the previous owner's trigger happy soldering skills... just a bunch of random coloured wiring cut and taped up and soldered to everything lol.

I'd also like to post this link I found where the guy got soundproofing and sound system fitted. If you go near the end of the link though you'll see they nicely modified the centre console with surrounds moulded into it and then sprayed the whole thing up. Really nice clean build I thought.
