Ever wonder what the inside of a TRANNY looks like

Postby steelroe » Mon Aug 18, 2008 10:51 pm

I knew the title of this topic would get attention.

Suspense got the better of me tonight so I decided to break open one of the TIP boxes I have spare. All in all not a difficult job.
I have taken a series of pics but my gallery is full. Anyone suggest how I might post the up.

The inside of the Automatic transmission is a lot less complicated compared to the manual one. The interior consists of gears (obviously), clutches and solenoid valves. Manual makes a lot more sense when you have the box open in front of you.

Rory, what Seb said or alternatively delete pics from your album that you no longer need (i.e. old ad pics etc).

I for one am interested to see the pics...

Nice pics Rory, what the reason to open it up out of interest? What sort of condition was the TC in? Looks like the fluid is nice and fresh, I've some seriously dirty brown stuff coming out of auto transmission cases....
