Airbag buttons

Hi,

Let me preface this by saying that I've seen some bad work in my life. This one however, really takes the cake in that respect.









Question: who in their right mind drills holes in an airbag cover (narrowly missing the bag) to insert two buttons without terminals (and hence no connection)? Not to even mention that the buttons would shoot out when the bag deployed.

I guess I should be glad I didn't have my eyes take out by some buttons...

That looks pretty idiotic alright.
I think I remember seeing them when your car was advertised and wondering about them at the time, at least a replacement part shouldn't be hard to find.

Anybody know what they look like when they deploy?

I'm pretty sure the cover would just fly off because of the side damage.
