Anybody been to India?

If so I'd appreciate any feed back. Where did you go, what's worth seeing, doing, avoiding?

I was there for a month 2 years ago with my wife. We did Delhi, Agra, Jaipur (Golden Triangle) and then 2 weeks in Goa. It rocks!! I will try to dig up some mails I have from the time. Jaipur is a must, as is Goa. Depends on what you want to get from it.... Goa is pure beach holiday but with a difference, Delhi is just mental busy and mad to see. What sort of holiday you want?

I wish. Going with work so free time will be limited. Travelling to Mumbai, and possibly Hyderabad and/or Bangalore any experience with these places? I heard plenty of horror stories regarding the food -Delhi belly etc.

I was in none of the places you mention.... more business areas then holidays. We were fine with the food... don;t eat meat and you'll be OK. Powercuts are regular so anything that is not eaten alot of and is stored in fridges will be dodgy as a result.

Ya - been to Hyderabad a few times. Good to stay in a hotel with a nice pool if you're there over weekends.

Just be careful with water and salads and things. The expensive hotels have all the western foods anyway so no major problem there. Quite expensive though - Hotels and Hotel Restaurants are more expensive than here !!!

Used to love the Kingfisher beer too !
