Replacing Analogue Clock with Digital

Postby IrishPhoenix » Mon Jan 02, 2006 2:37 pm

I'm just thinking of other ways to modify the interior of the FTO and was wondering if there are any digital clocks that would fit in where the analogue one is now? Or how about some other type of guages that show water pressure or something? Any ideas?

I recently got an oil temperature gauge and vacuum gauge from ebay that fit in there, but you should be able to fit other 52mm gauges too.

If you're on ftooc.org check out the oil filter adapter block thread, they get into talking about gauges there. Greengauges look a good match to the stock dials.

Thanks Kevinod. Do you have any photos of your dials installed?

They're not actually installed yet, on the passenger footwell at the moment for a trip down to the local mitsi dealer at lunchtime. I need to get hold of an oil temperature sender and the vacuum tubing to send the info to the dials. I'm thinking of putting them into a pillar pods or maybe a DIN gauge holder and keeping the clock + voltmeter.
