Rev Counter dosent always works

the Rev Counter only seems to work every other day. if i go over a hump too fast it will also stop working. any ideas?

Have you aftermarket dials in place? Sounds like a fauly spindle behind the tacho...

Loose connection I'd guess...

Doing a bit of searching, and apparently the rev counter takes its information from the Ignition Failure Sensor. Just looking to see where thats at...

There was a pic with this post on the ftooc, but the link no longer works unfortunately... how to swap in a new IFS.

dead easy to swap over, just take off the air intake pipe (2 jubilee clips)

The IFS is held there with 2 10mm (iirc) bolts, take off the connecter, whis the only hard part (funny clip thingy), put the capacitor thingy back, then the ifs, put the air intake pipe back on, (remember the little hose that goes to the top of the engine), and done.

Check for loose wires and/or frayed wires.
