Hey Guys,
quick question for you. on my car over the last two days i have noticed that when i try to bring the gear stick down to drive it clicks. and before ye ask yes i do press the button .
do we know why this is happening?

I wouldn't imagine that its serious, I suggest you remove the centre console surround and unscrew the plastic cover that houses the lever, you should then be able to see if anthing is getting in the way.

Is it just from Park to Drive that it is clicking?
Are you having to force the lever?
Any unusual noises when you change gear in Manual mode?
Is the "N" flashing on the tip box?

Have you changed the oil on the Tip box yet?

As CJ said it may very well be just the plastic cover underneath the gear lever thats catching or something similar OR it could be the start of a slightly more serious issue such as solenoids or a dirty chip on the Invecs ECU.

Ya it is just putting it from N to D. all the rest are fine,
have to use a tiny bit of force, nothing to drastic
unusual noise is just a tiny click sound.
No the N is not flashing on the tip box.

Take the centre console off and check where its catching - if its not catching on anything obvious come back to us.

Put the Tip box Oil change on your to-do list. Maybe get it changed at next service - it will give you peace of mind - Tip boxes can be cranky if they're not looked after.
