Dave McCann - another great experience

I'm going to look at a few cars tomorrow to try and get a trade in value for my GTI but sods law and wouldn't you know I get some "issues" during the week - first I nicked a tyre trying to avoid a pothole, then the exhaust dp develops a hole (so sounds like a bag of nails).....

So I called Dave and even though I haevn't been there for over 8 months (when I got the F1's originally) he remembers me (definitely a good start), he managed to source a goodyear in 225x40 18" for tomorrow so happy days on that score plus he's doing a wheel alignment all at a very reasonable price. Then I mentioned the exhaust in conversation so he's offered to have a look and if the hole is very small he'll try to put a weld in it so the car doesn't sound like a tractor when I head to look at some pontentail purchases.....

Now I haven't been out yet but I have to say so far amazing service and a pleasure to deal with ......

agreed. He's very very friendly. Remembered the S2000 tyres dimensions and grade over the phone, prices and all.

Fair play to Dave - he sorted me with a new tyre and got the wheel alignment spot on..... 175 for a 225/40x18 goodyear which is a good price.

Also spotted that my exhaust is blowing at the manifold.... fingers crossed it's only a gasket otherwise I might be keeping the golf a good bit longer.
