You looking for a back box or a full system?
If looking for a standard exhaust you could contact Mitsubishi. For after market exhaust you could try camskill www.camskill.co.uk
For second hand parts try Steelroe, or possibly one of the contacts on the services page, (I recently got an exhaust middle section form Mitsubishi specialist NI).

You having trouble with the exhaust or just fancy a change?

I don't understand, what's the problem, why can't you use them?

Helen - You need to be careful buying out of an Auto Accessory store - they're not exactly renowned for the quality of the parts for sale - I imagine you've just bought a "Universal" induction and backbox.

These backboxes work best (?) on Corsas and Civics etc - for looks only really - they would be easier to fit because they fit in place of the standard backboxes easily enough and any exhaust place can slap one on with little effort. However the FTO backbox runs across the back of the car so you would be talking about either keeping the existing backbox and adding another or making up a pipe to loose the original backbox and fitting it from the centre section. Or you could run it straight out the back on the left hand side of the car - not sure what the implications would be here though as the car was designed with an exact length of exhaust in mind - it could be very loud or the back pressure could be reduced to a level that would affect performance.

As for the induction - its probable you bought an aftermarket filter with a neck that is too small and won't fit - this would also adversely effect the performance of the car as it wouldn't be able to pull in as much air as the standard system. Again fine for your everyday family 1.3 hatchback but not really suitable for an FTO.

You are really better off taking a look at specialist websites such as Camskill or Funky Product and buying FTO specific products that will help performance and look good to boot.

If you're looking for a performance exhaust - then I'd keep an eye out for a second hand one - perhaps Steelroe has one that suits? - otherwise you could get one made up by Powerflow - but this is a more expensive option.

As per Mustangs question - have you a problem with the exhaust or are you just looking for something that looks and sounds meaner than standard?

All of the above is sound advice, the only thing I would add is do your homework before buying any performance \ aftermarket parts for your FTO otherwise you'll learn the hard way!

Personally, I'd recommend a Mongoose exhaust (not too loud at low revs) coupled with a HKS or ITG filter. If its one of those universal backboes you're after getting, I'd bring it back, they're just way too loud and will look and sound out of place.
