Help. Crashed FTO recently

Postby energy69 » Tue Mar 14, 2006 2:51 am

Hi,

Slid on ice a couple of weeks ago and hit the front passenger wheel off the curb hard. The car is currently in Kilmacanogue, Wicklow.

Think its the wishbone and steering rack. Does anyone know of a reputable mechanice in the area that I can trust and is not going to cost me an arm and a leg?

Where is the best place to buy parts and does anyone know of how much something like this is going to cost?

Any help you can give is much appreciated.

Only had the car 3 weeks - Steel Silver GR Model

Sorry to hear about your bang energy69, if you're willing to travel to Artane, theres an excellent mechanic out there called Paul Nolan, he's woked on more FTOs than you've had hot dinners! Give him a call on 086 2649884.

As regards second-hand parts, pm RiceRocketUk (David) or Steelroe (Rory), one of them will be able to help you out. For new parts, check out www.camskill.com

Chances are you've also buckled your alloy wheel, a tyre place will be able to verify. A new steering rack is big bucks, I would try and get one second hand if possible.

Thanks CJ. Have PM them both. Rang Paul and he said that anyone can do it if you get them the part.

Thanks again.
