The Chase

Postby Dragonheart » Thu Apr 09, 2009 10:57 pm

Little video for ye, Bernard and myself took a few clips over the week, and integrated them into one video tonight, (well Bernard did I just watched really). :) It took 3 days to get it filmed and edited, amazing the amount of time that goes into something so short!
We were careful not to break speed limits, but some of the camera angles give a good effect.
Anyway, here it is, the final result, enjoy. :D

How careful

Nice one. Where did you mount the camera on the trailing car ?

Have to be careful nowadays. I'm not going to risk losing my licence or my car.
The camera on the chasing car was in the front bumper, held solidly with about half a roll of duct tape. Being low down to the ground gave it a good effect.

Funny you should mention that, I had my first spin in a tip today.
It was brilliant, thought I was in a rally car with a sequential box... slagging of tiptronic boxes definitely isn't justified.

Nice one lads. Great induction noise - would be a good idea for a competition on here actually - who can come up with the best 3 min max video of an FTO in motion.

Brill vid.. love it..

A real pity about the wind noise .. makes me wonder what one would have to do to filter it out during filming..

The wind noise was the biggest problem alright, some insulation tape over the mic made it a bit better though.
You'd really need an external one with a big fluffy cover, or a clever program to remove it afterwards.

You're welcome ;) I added this mod a few weeks ago, rather than announce it, I wanted to see how long it would take folks to spot it. Bernard, thought you have have jumped on this one earlier!

To embed a video, this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bp7x0hZKn-8

Becomes this (minus number 1 in the last youtube tag):

[youtube=Bp7x0hZKn-8]The chase[/youtube1]
