I can't even put this in the Jap performance section, how sad.
But anyway, as some of you know, I sold the S2000 last week, and have moved onto something with room for my bike for a while. Picked this up in the UK last weekend...









Its a oil burner, TDI SE 140 version. Simple interior, fairly standard spec, but seems like a very honest example with only one owner from new, and was a company car, so F(A)SH with everything done as per best practice. Drives very well, and besides the stone chips as you'd expect of a car of this age, the body work is spot on.

Only thing I could think to improve it, was to give it a good interior valet. It wasn't dirty by most peoples standards, but I don't think it was ever given a deep clean, and I felt it could be better. So earlier today I got our in-house pro's to have a look at it. Absolutely delighted with the results, the pics speak for themselves...

Really couldn't recommend this service more. It is like a new car inside, and with the tools and techniques used, its a very thoroughly cleaning. I was expecting good results having seen the photos of what the guys did before, but when its your own car, and you have a true appreciation of the state of the car beforehand, you really see such a difference. Top class!

nice car.heres a few things to check as its a 2.0 140bhp pd engine.

1- checked oil pressure is right to o.e at idle and rev.

2. find out is the balance shaft, chain driven or gears. all 2.0tdi are been changed to gears as chain is given trouble.

3.injectors check is thet are bosch or simmens .

4.check turbo for noise at boost. due to fault 1 and 2.

if you send me your chassis i can check and let you know whats in it and what audi can do for you.if anything.

Thanks all. Never really considered an S4 to be honest, but some day I will have an RS4, really, really want one of those (may as well go the whole way if you're going down that route! )

No plans to mod it at all, not that kind of car really. Only thing I looked into was getting an armrest, ( ) which gives a good idea of the intention of this car, nice relaxed cruising! Its a 2006 and will have Irish plates by the end of this week. This will be the first import I'll be taking to the NCT centre, so will be interesting to see how they deal with the process.

Might take you up offer Danny, the engine sounds and feels great, but no harm checking.

Yeah, was great to get the interior properly done. It was only Bernard the day I was down, but despite my "helping" him, he did a great job.

Let us know how you get on with the armrest, I looked into this for a 2004 and the dealer advised me against it as he said that the retrofit of the armrests is not straightforward. Add to the fact that they are quite pricey to buy - it was a couple of hundred bills when I looked.

Yeah, when I looked into it the first option that came to light was a semi-universal one (bolt-on job), but I really don't want to go down that route, would probably look/feel very cheap. I've got a quote off a guy for a second hand one, but I want to call to the breakers yard to see it in person, and more so how it fits. Looks like a large section of the centre console needs to be replaced.

Set of 19's, cut the springs, some oversize mud-guards, an RS4 badge (keep the TDI badge on d'other side) and you're sorted.
