Sump

Postby Dave » Wed Jun 21, 2006 4:40 pm

Hey folks,
Anyone got a spare sump or know of someone with one for a GS?
i need a spare one so i can get the oil lines for the turbo welded into it and don't fancy taking mine off and then being left without one if something goes wrong!!

thanks

Rory, Rice & Hostile..or perhaps HMSBIKES

Try these lads..

HMSBikes : 0044 (0) 121 556 5488

As they're UK based shipping might be a tad more than from Rory - but they should have sumps-a-plenty..

Yup - they're indeed scrappers.. Don't think you'll need a part number.

I'm entirely sure haw many people work there but I've spoken to them a couple of times and the seem to be pretty clued in on whats what.

They're always at the phone anyways - so you might be better of the just picking up the aul bone and giving the a quick buzz.. (accent isn't too bad - I could easily understand them.. :-) )

i was quoted £35 sterling for one from the 2litre from Rice, and nope that won't fit a GS so they are way way off with that!

Dave I was just on the phone to Rory with regards to my engine..
I took the liberty of asking had he a GS sump lying about..He wasn't 100% but he said he'd have a look and drop you a line..

Have a nice weekend!

Another link for ya... SMC import spares, based in Peterlee (nearish Sunderland). I've got some bits and pieces from them in the past and they seem good to deal with from that point of view at least.

Also on Ebay - link

Dave,
By the looks of it the part number is MD318675. No harm in giving mitsi a ring for a quote...... While the 4G93 engine is fitted to a few different cars. It seems that there are only two other models that share this sump (oil pan). The DA2A carisma, and the CK5AR mirage /lancer although I can't seem to any lancer or mirage with this chassis no. designation :smt017
The 4G93 engine is also fitted to the jap spec galant EA1A. Not sure if sump is the same though... Also the lancer GSR CM5A again not sure if the sump is the same.
