As the nickname indicates, I am from Aus.
In Aus, we have been refitting our car seats with a cheaper Leather alternative. I am sure you all heard about Leatherette.
There has been 3 group buy organized, and 2 of them by myself. More than 70 sets.

Leatherette is a product many people haven’t have much information about it. However, after seeing the results myself, I fount it to be a great, cheaper and high quality alternative. Final result looks exactly like leather. I am positive that, it is impossible to distinguish the difference between Leather and Leatherette for standard user. It also doesn’t feel like plastic, feels just like original leather.
However, Leatherette is not a breathable material. This means it might get slightly warmer then leather in the summer months, although, leaving in Melbourne in summer, I have not feel the discomfort of it yet.
Installation process is straightforward. Take off your old covers and put on the new ones. Easily doable on the weekend. There is also a DIY available with photos. You need lots of cable ties.

Production of these covers happens in Philippines. They are custom made for FTOs.
I have an agent working there for me to check every order has been produced in high quality and according to order list. The agent also organizes the shipment.
Normally all orders come to Melbourne, and then I post it to buyers. A set of seat covers is around 6kgs. During the last group buy I have sent an order to UK, who was Condition0. However, he paid a very high price on postage from Melbourne to UK.
To solve this problem and supply you guys with cheap/high quality/stylish seat covers, I am able send postage straight from Philippines to Ireland via FedEx fast airmail(individual orders).
The best part is the price of these covers. Currently I supply to UK buyers for GBP225. This will be same for buyers from Ireland as well. It is also possible to order raw material for your doors, boot, roof, handbreak, gear, etc as well as embossed FTO logo…
Additional material is GBP15 per sqm
FTO embossed logo is GBP20 for all seat.
