Anyone have FTO parts?

Postby garrymccarthy » Tue Aug 03, 2010 12:05 pm

Hi all,

I'm looking for:
1. A right hand front bottom arm
AND
2. Rear bottom engine mount

for a 1995 FTO 2.0L V6 Jap import.

I was told the parts would cost over 400euro new, but I really don't reckon it's worth pumping that kind of money into the car.
Anyone have any suggestions of cheaper options? Or know of scrapyards that may have these parts?

(I'm in the Cork area but can travel if necessary...)

Cheers,
Garry.

Lots of lads breaking FTOs on here, Steelroe for one, Seb often has parts, and paul2508 is breaking one at the moment. Also Camskill in the UK do FTO parts.

Steelroe is in Kerry with lots of cars, so probably your best bet.

Cheers for the replies lads...

I found 2 scrap yards in Cork that could would give me the parts for 80euro total.

Would any of you know if it makes a difference that I'm getting the parts from a manual FTO, for my automatic?
Should they fit?
They're both V6 anyway.

What scrap yards in Cork are they? Interesting to know.
Far as I know the only difference between the tip and manual is gearbox related. Someone else would be 100% sure on that.

I found the parts here first:
http://www.partfinder.ie/

The search then brought up a guy in Ballincolling and a fella in Youghal. Dunno if they're part dealers or what... But they got the parts anyway!!

2 boys in cork list the FTO as convertible.
Handy little site that.

The white 97 GS listed was an immaculate car, was traded as part of the scrappage deal.
