Tein Coilovers

Anyone ever adjusted the height in a set of coilover shocks? Is it something anyone can do or is there a skill involved?
Also how can you tell if the damping can be adjusted on them?

They are adjusted by turning the collar of the large spring platform nut around the body of the strut itself using a c spanner. Its not difficult to do once the road wheel is off so long as the thread is not corroded.
If the thread is badly corroded then its refurb time
They are probably adjusted by a knob/screw at the top mount. mine weren't adjustable. hth

I've adjusted a set of teins on a previous car - different coilovers can have different ways of adjustment - on the teins it was just a case of winding them down with the relevant tool - my tein spanners looked like this - http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php? ... 0s586p2685
