anyone else noticed the recent thing where you place an ad in buy and sell for example, and then get some guy calling you all enthusiastic about buying it, but then he wants you to send it first and they'll send you the €€ after?
A few things in the calls that made me think they weren't bona fide, with the wheels the guy was trying to tell me he needed them for the NCT. 2 of the 4 wheels didn't have tyres on them!
Had another call with the bumper I'm selling, would collect it from Cork or Galway any time, during the week or whenever, no problem, but supposedly living in Dublin. Obviously I didn't 'bite' but just wondering if this is a widespread thing or have I just been unlucky?
