Wheels

Ello, new FTO owner here (only GS I'm afraid - but its for the wife so not too many horses, but will drive myself whenever i can)

My query concerns wheels/alloys.

My lowly GS has 14" steel wheels but I'd like to fit some standard FTO alloys if I can get my hands on some. My questions are -

1. Will standard (5 spoke type) 15"/16" alloys fit (if I can get my hands on some), and look ok? I assumethat the GS body and size is no different than GRs/GPXs?

2. Will my speedo still be ok if I fit these? I assume with the right tyres it shouldnt be a problem?

:)

Hi and welcome Meg.

Yes, standard 16" rims will fit no problem.

Correct, the basic body and track are the same on all models.

Only if you increase the rolling radius of the wheel\tyre combo - shouldn't be an issue up to 17" (assuming you don't go above a 205 profile on 17's).
