That was (is???) ambitious project although in my humble opinion a bit forced one. Miss enzo I totally agree that if mitsu intended FTO to be turbo they would put the 4g63T engine into it:), which again, IMHO makes more sense than adding turbo to 2 litre mivec FTO engine. Will probably work out cheaper as well, not to mention variety of options for the tuning engine and drivetrain then. As happy owner of the ugliest FTO on the roads, and taking into consideration that mine is GS model I would go this way if I ever decide to develop it (money, money, money....).
Nevertheless fair play to Ddan for taking up this project cause I know he put a lot of money and huge effort into his project and proved to the rest of us that it is:

1. not so easy
2. expensive
3. probably not worth the hassle

It is always better (and cheaper) to learn by mistakes other people do, bearing that in mind many thanks Ddan for this topic and the whole idea.

Colm, you are a malicious one, aren't you just.
It is a great topic, so much fun and emotions, the fact that the car in question does not work (or does it??), does not change a thing:)

I vote to close it.

Sick of it popping up in the new post section, nobody gives a toss anymore.

I think its safe to say we've seen the last of Dan and his bullshit. He's burnt all his bridges on this and other forums and then some. Not that I ever bought into his sh1te in the first place. It was clear right from the start that this project was never gonna happen.

If you are chasing 300bhp then it makes much more sense to change the engine rather than go through a very expensive build process on the 2l Mivec. VR4 or Evo engine is the way to go.
