ITG induction kit

Postby Big Dogg » Tue Apr 08, 2008 1:28 am

I was given an ITG air filter and spray along with the car when I bought it. The previous owner said he had it on, then took it off for the last MOT just in case it increased emissions. I washed the filter in warm soapy water today and have left it to dry overnight. Tomorrow morning I'll spray the filter and leave it for a while (a mechanic advised me to do this - is it necessary to leave the spray stuff to dry for a while before putting the filter on?).

Anywho, I just want to know do I just remove the airbox and stick this filter in it's place? Do I have to do anything with a MAF or anything (had to do something with the MAF when fitting an induction kit to my previous car - Ford Probe).

Cheers

The spray doesn't really need to dry - just massage it into the filter (don't use too much).

just remove standard induction and stick on the bath sponge (ITG).
The GPX doesn't have an external MAF so I wouldn't worry about that - it may help to just reset the ECU to adjust the fueling (disconnect battery for 40mins).
