Its a shame you are selling - I do think you will regret it.

You shouldn't have too much of a problem selling this FTO - its a nice example at a decent price.

 - I know the chap - one of the young Wesley lads from down the road there in BallyNigeria - sound bloke - will pay you more than your cars worth and then ask for a few quid back for his troubles.

I like just stringing these guys along - giving them no personal info and asking them to send on the cheque or a cash deposit through Western Union. I had the last guy convinced I was Fr Ted Crilly from Craggy Island Parocial House - several piss taking emails later and this supposed "Irish" person still hadn't coped on to the fact I was leading him on.

Sold today for the asking price, no money actually exchanged hands yet, so technically still mine. Kinda mixed feelings about the whole thing, and what's gonna replace it :?

Buyer is an FTO-ireland member and has had one before.

Ah, but you never specified "No time wasters" on your ad, come to think of it you never said how rare it was either...

Maybe if I'd said "first to see will buy" I might have had more luck. Editing imminent.....

I'd never hold a car without a deposit at work. Turned down another offer on it because I told this person I'd hold it till yesterday. Guy that made the offer just bought something else.

Should name and shame this fto-ireland member but I won't!

Just as well I'm not hugely pushed on selling it.

Will give the "buyer" the benefit of the doubt, there are a few reasons why someone couldn't be contactable.

Colm - we had this same discussion (though on the other side of the fence) with D-Dan a couple of weeks ago after he said he'd given a verbal to buy an FTO and it was "sold out from under him". As per Mustangs comment (And I'm sure you would be the first to agree considering the business you're in!) - "Cash is King" - NO car is sold untill money changes hands! I would never consider a car sold untill I had money in my hand no matter who I was dealing with.

Its a nicely spec'd FTO at a good price - When the right buyer comes along he'll take your arm off for that FTO at that price.

TBH, if I don't sell it, I won't be too upset. I still get a buzz from driving it, and it turns a few heads!

I'm not going to rush into anything,
I don't think it will be another FTO this time, unless I saw one that was completely different to my last one.
I reckon it'll be a Merc SL, or maybe a Jaguar XJC like this one:
