GR Exhaust Centre section.

Ok the centre section of my exhaust has sheared through, I now sound like an extreme boy racer.
Anyone know where I can get my hands on a replacement? Rory has none left.
Apparently they are known to go often enough.

Got a price of 454 euro delivered off RicerocketUK for a mongoose catback.
If I cant find a better price I might go that. Its a hefty price for a car I want to sell though.

Does anyone know if Powerflow are still in ireland? The number on the site here doesnt work, and an internet search only brings up a UK office.

I did a bit of a search there recently and had no luck either..

I did buy the latest modified motors - but I didn't look through the ads yet - I'll have a gander this evening and let you know.

I wonder what the difference between the GPX and the GR is exhaust wise..

I'm thinkint it could be the pipe diameter ot something cause the under car layout of the GR and GPX must be very similar..the downpipe section might be different.

Wait, according to Rory, it can be done, just the section that bolts onto the alternator needs to be cut off and my current one welded in place of it. The flange *chuckle*.

Larger pipe diameter on the GPX from Catback AFAIK - you can just cut off the flange and weld it in but what are you going to weld in? - another moth eaten centre section from another 10 year old FTO?

Go the Ricerocket route and get yourself a decent exhaust - once you have it on the car I bet you'll be in no rush to sell up.

Powerflow still kinda exists near Mulligar as www.motechireland.com but a custom exhaust will still cost you more than an out of the box Mongoose or Blueflame.

I've been down this road before - bought a second-hand RSR from Steelroe and it did grand for a while but eventually ended up buying the Quad blueflame which looked and sounded sweeeet!

I reckon you'll be just throwing good money after bad by going down this road - have you had the car up on the ramp and properly examined the centre section? I've seen enough 10 year old FTO's with rotten centre sections to know that if you still have the original exhaust on the car and its starting to give problems - its likely to be on its last legs.
