How are things? It's been a while since i was on last and i know i've kinda lost touch with the forum. Getting back into it though and man has a lot happened since i was last on.

Wee question to get u all started. There has been a lot of discussion about various gearbox up-grades and what not, what i'm wondering is:
Can you up-grade the GR 4-speed tip box to the 5-speed box. I know this would entail pulling the dash out and that but is it physically possible?

Also been busted down to driving a Vectra The girlfriends up the spout and that will make 3 between us, so no room for the kids in the car....
Never mind though - It's just MY car now!!

I would imagine that it is, but if you're going to that much trouble you might consider converting to a manual gearbox instead?

Nothing against tiptronics, just a thought! Alternatively, by the time you've spent that much time and money converting from 4 to 5 speed, you'd prob have most of the cost of updating to a facelift, which would already have the 5 speed gearbox in it.

Any mad aul' modifications or anything yet?

She's motoring along nicely thanks! Nothing mad done to her, took a while to get all the bits and pieces sorted out but she's not bad at all now. GPX front calipers are my main mod so far (apart from my front and back wheels matching! ), along with stereo + 10 cd changer, alu rings + needle cups, plus I put a bluetooth car kit into it too and other misc bits and pieces.

Soon to come is a leather retrim (eta about 4 weeks ish) and I'm tipping away at another little gadget that I'm keeping low profile for now... nothing spectacular, just another toy.

Its a never ending list of things to do!

Not a whole lot but a few wee bits and pieces somewhat like yourself.

I bought a couple of wee engine dress up parts from Karl in Splitrims, so far, i've the radiator shroud and the extremely cool polished Rocker cover with the FTO logo on it in blue to match the engine paint.....

A few more things winging their way to me, but its a never ending list...

What can i say, if your looking for some custom parts, then give Karl a shout, he's a gentle man and probably the best importer for some serious hardware for our babbies....
