Suspension cranky noise ?

Postby Masa » Tue Oct 21, 2008 6:03 pm

Hi there,

it happens sometimes that in a bad road I can hear a clanky noise coming from the suspension
by clanky I mean something like the old spring matress ^^

Is it comign from the spring , should I change them ?

or is it something else ?

Have a similar issue on the GX at the minute, I'm suspecting that the nearside spring has become unseated, need to get the jack and stands out to check. Is your suspension lowered?

Masa - Its most likely to either/or your ARB bushes or droplinks.

ya it's rather a squeek than a clunk and nope it hasn't been lowered yet ( will do it if I have to change the springs)

For the ARB bushes or droplinks Idunno what pieces are that, I'll check on the net :) Thanks.
