I was speaking with a mate the other day, he starts telling this story that a friend of his swears is true, urban myth or not, I got a great laugh out of it:

'Paul' was sitting at the bar of Gibneys pub in Malahide with a few of his mates, he goes into the gents, sets himself up at the stall and low and behold, Bono walks up beside him:

Paul: Howaya doin' Bono! (surprised)
Bono: Hows it goin'
Paul: Would you do us a favour, when you come out of the jacks, would you walk by the bar and say 'Hi Paul' as you're strolling by, the lads would get great crack out of it!
Bono: Sure, no problem (laughs)

Paul leaves the gents and rejoins his mates, a minute or two later, Bono walks by the bar:

Bono: Hows things Paul
Paul: F**k off Bono, can't you see I'm trying to have a pint!

Classic :)

Its an old one but a good one - it seems to be based on the classic Bill Gates joke -

"I was in the airport VIP lounge in LHR a couple of weeks ago. While in there, I noticed Bill Gates sitting comfortably in the corner, enjoying a drink.
I was meeting a very important client who had agreed to give me 10 mins of his time in the lounge on his way through the airport, but he was running a little bit late.
Well, being a straightforward kind of guy, I approached the Microsoft chairman, introduced myself, and said, "Mr. Gates, I wonder if you would do me a favour."
"Yes?"
"I'm sitting right over there," pointing to my seat at the bar, "and I'm waiting on a very important client. Would you be so kind when he arrives as to come walk by and just say, 'Hi, Ray,'?"
"Sure - No problem."

I shook his hand and thanked him and went back to my seat.

About ten minutes later, my client showed up. We ordered a drink and started to talk business.
A couple of minutes later, I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was Bill Gates.

"Hi, Ray," he said.

I replied, "Get lost Gates, I'm in a meeting."
