WANTED: indicator and parking lights

Postby ikeane » Wed Jul 19, 2006 11:02 pm

Guys and gals, looking for front indicator and parking lights (or something to use as parking lights). I'm after changing the front bumper and dont want to put back in the pre 97 pods, so I'm after replacement lights.
Ideas appreciated...

I guess when you say you don't want to put in the pre-97 pods there must be spaces for them?

Possibilities
- do a facelift conversion, so you have 2 lights instead of the single unit. One indicator the other foglight, maybe work the sidelight in either the main lense (can drill it in there) or use a halo or something like that for a sidelight on the fog/indicator.

- You could look at Supra bumper lights? They're a bit tidier though.
- do RX-7s have something like the Supras?

Basically anything you'll add will probably involve some bit of fibreglassing to fill up the gap and give the light something to mount to.

I got a Bozz replica bumper. I want to put the lights and indicators into the mesh on the bottom, should look well and should be easy to install. Have a look here:

Does it matter what watt lights I use? I'm more concerned with them not being compatible with the fto's electrics, like the indicators in this thread.

This is all so the car will pass the nct of course

just a thought..

THAT'LL look awesome...mightn't be too practical cause you'll probbly have to set the a wee bit back into the bumper..but ..yeah could well look real unique.. Great idea!

Supra sidelights should fit the Bozz with a little bit of work.
