thinking of buying but need help!!(NOW MINE)

i was thinking of buying this fto and taking the aftermarket parts off it

In a word yes - apart from many parts of the engine of course as this is not a Mivec lump. Everything else will be fine including all mods specified.

I've never seen your car Paul but depending on age and condition, I'd consider dropping your engine into the new one.

Assuming it's all above board, no book could be dodgy...

would you pay 1400 eur for upgrades ?

Taxbook can be gotten in about 2 weeks from revenue if it's lost , there is something dodgy about this ad.

Seems good value, especially if you were planning to buy coilovers etc. but does seem a bit dodgy alright...

"Prefer to sell car as a whole" means he might sell off a few of the choice bits for cheapish...

Still I'd check with the Gardai. (98 D 76041)

this is the car i put up before as buyer beware. that was the first thing i was gonna do is follow up on the log book , i have a 98 gpx so no point in taking my engine out and puttng it in. if the log book is really lost ,then id go for it. think its worth the value considering the mods on it, plus i was planning on purchasing most of these items , how do i go about checking up on the log book, i take it the guards are the first stop? help is much appreciated peeps :D

ok peeps ,was just on the phone to him, he said there is no log book off it because its a cat b write off.a dealer had it in his yard and all his stock was written off. ..... :? wat ye think. can you not get a log book for it . is there any way of looking up last owner of the log book.

dunno mate.but the car wasn.t damaged . its running perfect . maybe the dealer claimed the insurance off it.

Something fishy here, I enquired about it but decided against. I wounder was it written off by the NCT. Still dont explain why no logbook.

I lost a log book before for my previous car, needed it cause I sold it and wanted to transfer ownership, got onto the crowd in Clare and had my log book in a week, think its about €30 or something. No reason to be dropping a price by a lot thats for sure.

im picking it up the weekend . as mentioned .it was in a dealers before the present owner and claimed the insurance off it, his four court was flooded,so its a cat b write off. but the car wasn.t damaged. you probably have hit the nail on the head rory. about the nct. never knew they could write a car off?

picked this up yesterday and i must say its immaculate,shame its a cat b write off. had my mechanic have a quick look underneath and said its spotless,feck all driving done in it. 1000 yoyo's wasn't bad.del boy hasn't a patch on me lol...im taking strut braces, ehxaust system, coilovers ,brake set up and wheels .in two minds about taking gearbox .if it fits ,either way ill have a gearbox for sale ,manual.i know most of you dont like the spoiler but im gonna put it on mine fto ,different people different tastes :D the red ricerocket leather seats up for grabs ,carbon look surrounds, and other pieces for sale!!!
