If I knew you where there MJ I would have given you a shout. I got there late due to traffic and didn't see T-D, Metallica where pretty good, nice to hear some of the older tracks getting some airplay (although there could have picked a better set list IMO).

There was a pretty interesting demographic at the gig, Metallica fans span multiple generations it would seem! I have to say, it was one of the most laid back gigs I've attended, nothing like metal gigs from the late 80's and early 90's!

I was there as well.
TD weren't too bad I enjoyed them more than I was expecting to and can't really compare Metallica as it was the first time I saw them live but I really enjoy it.
Too bad at the end we had to wait for more than an hour in the car without moving an inch.

bit bummed I didn't go - could've gotten tickets but assumed (foolishly) that it was going to be rainy and miserable..

have seen the D live before and they're fab..I'm not a big fan of the new Metalica stuff - but I would have loved to hear the old stuff again.. Which old ones did they play??

Fave track - Seek and destroy.."So what" is up there as well :-)

Both were played, some others included One, And Justice For All..., Sanitarium, Master of Puppets, Last Caress, Whiskey in the jar and some new tracks...

I was there in the Pit no less. Die hard Tallica fan. Queued for the pit bands from 6 in the morning. Have some fantastic pics to post up at the weekend. Seen them in Germany too back in June. Very similar set lists but both were amazing.

Was there early CJ, got in well before TD, and the bar was quiet so must have been really early!
There was a great atmosphere around I thought, all generations like stated already. My camera filled up just as One was starting, couldnt get the pyrotechnics on it, they were class. One thing I did think is how they've aged, but I suppose they are around since '81! Thought the whole thing was well organised too, from the front gate to where we were for TD it took about 10 mins to get there, including being searched. Thats pretty good, getting out was quick too I thought considering the size of the crowd that was there!
They're Garage Inc. stuff is great, def they're older songs are the better ones, think they're trying to go back to that with the new album.
