Problem here Dan is that it will be almost undriveable on the vast majority of Irish B roads.
Having owned and driven a good range of sports cars on cats-eye scrapping coilovers/uprated dampers/springs I think that uprated dampers and something like the Eibach Pro springs are possibly the best compromise for Irish roads.
For an FTO I found that a combination of KYB dampers and Apex springs along with polybushes and ensuring droplinks,ARBs etc are kept in good order was the optimum route to take if you are to drive your FTO on a day to day basis. FTO remains comfortable with minimum body roll, good handling and your girlfriend will still want to sit in the passenger seat.
