Never had any issues in the past with the car. starts on the button. washed it yesterday. first time in months (I know I know, I been busy) used a power hose under the arches to clean out all the muck etc, drove to my mates. parked up and started drinking/playing pool. next day I came back to collect her. dead. battery totally dead. I can see the "door open" light come on when I insert key so its not 100% dead, just 99%. can;t fire up the lights or start the car. anyway, my question is could the water have done this. spraying it with the hose. I was careful not to get it in the car/bonnet area, and it started on the button about 30 mins after I washed/waxed it. I'm pretty certain I left nothing on.the radio and blower go off when you take out key, and the lights were deffo off too.
dunno. took the battery out and put it on a charger for the next 14 hours so I'll try it tomorrow.
If it does start (touch wood) what should I do? give it a good drive obviously to get any water out of it, leave it running for an hour. hope its nothin long term just a tempory short ot something?
