This car is currently in the UK but I thought I would explore options in Ireland as I really want it to find a good home.
1998 manual FTO GX Aero Series in Symphonic Silver.
It was imported in 2003, 2 UK owners, I have owned it for over 3 years. Service history since import, including cambelt at 70k + original import documentation. Odo reads 106k miles, I believe the first 60k was in km.
Original Japanese lightweight 17" Weds Sports alloys, new front tyres August 07. Camskill grooved front brake disks, Black Diamond brake pads all round (new May 07), stainless steel braided brake hoses. New stainless steel twin oval Mongoose cat-back system fitted in May 07. Front upper and rear strut braces.
No rust, was undersealed on purchase. Interior standard apart from white dials. Good and clean condition inside and out. Full bonnet respray in August 07 to remove a pin-dent and stone chips, so front end immaculate. Only flaw is two minor car park dents but you really need to look to notice them.
Engine is standard and untouched.
Aero Series comes with factory fitted HIDs and Aero spoiler as standard. Cat 1 alarm + immobiliser, PAS, E/W, ABS, R/C/L, dual air bags, air con.
The car has an MOT until September 08 unfortunately I understand it will need to pass an NCT in Ireland.
It has uprated JBL front speakers, Pioneer rear speakers, and a decent Pioneer head unit. However, the head unit did not fit straight into the centre console, which had to be modified to fit and is also cracked in places, like many of them. I have sourced a replacement centre console which will come with the car, so any buyer can choose whether to keep it as is, or fit the new console and replace the head unit with one of their choice.
Price - 5500 Euros
This takes into account the fact that VRT will need to be paid - according to the calculator, it would be just under 2000 Euros. I am prepared to deliver the car for that price - if the buyer wants to collect from the UK, I will drop the price to reflect this.
Not many people would want to buy without seeing the car. Of course anyone is very welcome to come and see it, but I thought perhaps an alternative is that I live very close to Japco (UK FTO specialist as per UK FTOOC) so perhaps Giles at Japco would be prepared to carry out an inspection on behalf of a prospective buyer - I would be quite happy to bring the car up to him for that.
Apologies if anyone thinks this is a cheek - just a bit of a shot in the dark. It is a beautiful FTO in lovely condition and I do want to find someone who will love it.
