Attempted Theft

Postby CByrne » Mon May 16, 2005 1:25 pm

Some little fec'er tried to take my baby last night, smashed in the passenger side window, took my front loader radio (lesson learnt there to take it out each night) but no damage other than that.
Steering wheel lock probably deterred them from trying to get at ignition, with the alarm going off.
Parked on road in Ranelagh, have an underground spot in work which I use (until I get my own house) but was lazy last night so parked at home.

Anyway rang loads of places, eventually found a replacement through a Mitsi dealer, 240/eur plus VAT and labour.

Too late now, but if anyone knows of a good place for replacing windows/windscreens for the FTO, might be handy to have on the site.

Only have the car two months (97manual GR, Passion Red)

Ah well.

Colm.

Sorry to hear that Colm, scumbags :(

Theres a list of breakers on the Services page on the main site who which should be able to supply a second hand window. (I got one from Jap Autospares about 2 years ago, it cost me €180 fitted at the time)
