Need to reset Cobra 7910 alarm (not key fob) - Help !

Car has been layed up fpr a while and the battery died. Put a new one in and now the alarm is sounding all the time and the immobiliser is on also.
I have a reset key and have located the hole that it goes into on the dash under the wheel. As I recall, there is a method to reset the alarm, something to do with turning the ignition on and off a designated number of times etc ...... I used to know how to to it, but I just can't remember. Can anyone help me with this ? The battery in the fob died also so i'll have to synch that to it but I think I recall how to do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm dead in the water !

Sure is ....... Luckily I have a spare identical fob for my landcruiser that'll do it - i'm dying to fire her up to have a sconce so I can hit the auto factors tomorrow and spend the weekend getting her sweet. I know the car and she was sweet as a nut a while back .......
