Front headlamps fogging up?

Hi guys,

I just recently bought an FTO (my second - had to sell my old one bcos of high insurance) and I noticed that in the wetweather we've been having lately, my front headlamps keep fogging up. What could that be from? I never noticed it on my old FTO so I was just wondering if I needed to replace the seals around them.

Are you just getting a small bit of condensation at the bottom of the lamp unit or is the entire front of the light covered?

One of my headlamps is letting in a a lot of water in wet weather, I'll have to remove it at some stage and seal it up completely.

Cheers for the link CJ. Its just condensation around the bottom of the glass. I'll try it out at the weekend and see if it solves the problem.

best long term solution is to dril a couple of small holes in the headlight pod in a discreet position. This will let the pod ventilate and prevent any future condensation.

Can you do something like this with the pre facelift dip/indicator pods? Mine tend to fog up as well as the main light pods...

try drilling a small hole under it one or two may do... done a while ago and problem gone

Yep, I should have said, in the bottom of the pods at the lowest point would be best. Then if any condensate does form it will redily drain out.
