Reset the ECU and try another diagnostic to check if any other sensors are showing faults...

thanx cj, went back to my mechanic today and he hadn't finished the mot work and the rear wheel was off doing brake pads hence he hadn't taken car out today to check for fault codes. he promised to check tomorrow but is only earthing the pin not proper diagnostic reader (would a proper reader give me a more comprehensive reading of problem?) this guy is really slow and im doing all the home work lots of thanx to you guys and ur site. hopefully have code tomorrow thanx again

I have a similar problem, but while won`t rev past 4000rpm. Am thinking it might be the ECU that is at fault, because i have changed all of the components related with the issue.

I have a cheap fuel pump if you wanted it, £20 delivered.
