OE side skirts removal

Postby colm_mcm » Thu May 22, 2008 7:48 pm

Are the side skirts bonded on, or just screwed/clipped. I want to take mine off to get resprayed, don't think they can be done properly while on the car. If they're stuck on it'd probably be more trouble than it's worth taking them off.

Screwed under sill. and 3M taped to side. Remove screws and pull them straight off.

brilliant, want to get mine sprayed, but wouldn't be happy having them on the car, think the finish would be better if they were taken off.

With the standard ones it would be simple to spray them on the car.
The top line of the skirt can be masket very easily.

I just remember my old FTO and the job that was done spraying the skirts on that
It was one of the least favourite things about it, and I don't want this one to turn out like that.

Sounds like my skirts! That's in my top ten list of things to get sorted.

That's a very good point.

I wish I knew how it was coming... Still getting the run around. Had them agree to send it to another garage and then Axa's parts manager got on to me and advised that I leave it there.

He convinced me, but that was over a week ago and now I'm regretting it!
