Not a very smart way to sell a car I don't think...personally.

that car was advertised a few days ago under the present asking price
the vid posted in the ad it's not the speedo from his car , as the car it's automatic .

in a word , Fail

Funny story about the previous ad - atleast I tink it was the same car..

A friend of mine is looking at a gpx as an opiton...but he's on somewhat of a shoestring budget..

Anyways.. He rang a guy advertising a 97 blue fto...and asked him was it a gr, gpx, gs, gx..to which the seller responded...No.. It's an FTO..

Oh well..

I'm going viewing it with him next week.

I'm assuming the seller isn't on here or surely he'd have reacted to the post at this stage...

buy cheap -> resell ?

I think the price difference in the two ads was only 100euros..hardly a good business model.

I'll get my friend to check the phone numbers tomorrow and see if it's the same..

Sometimes you can come across a genuine bargain, I know of plenty people here who got nicely sorted FTOs for not a lot of money.

The guy selling this car is a blatant liar, add to that the fluctuating asking price.
Unless you knew enough yourself or brought a mechanic with you then someone like that (no matter what they were selling) should be avoided IMO.
