1995 Mitsubishi FTO GR

Postby briencrean » Tue Sep 22, 2009 10:44 pm

It is with regret that I am selling my FTO. Its costing me too much to run as I am driving from Limerick to Shannon every day plus the heater matrix needs to be replaced.

2.0l 1995 Mitsubishi FTO GR, Manual, NCT 01/11, 120,000 miles, timing belt done, Alternator and Starter Motor refurbished, 18inch Alloys, Leather seats, Sony sound system (Speakers, Head Unit, Remote on Steering Column, CD Changer in Boot), 7inch Screen with Playstation 2 connection in glovebox.

I'll add pics soon once I find my camera.

Not sure what price to put down so I'll say 1,200 but Im open to offers cause of the heater matrix problem!

Sold the car for 1,000 and let the new owner know about the heater matrix problem and that the synchro mesh was going in the gearbox.

He wasnt bothered as he was going to do it up himself. However he has put it up on donedeal for €2,350!!! A day after he bought it!

Just posting this to warn anybody that is prepared to spend this much on this car!!

He's entitled to do with he wants with it after the money is handed over, however, he'll be waiting a long time for that sort of money. :)

Emailed the seller :
Could you tell me a bit more? How long have you owned the FTO? Is it mechanically sound? Does it need any work done to it? Lastly, what's your best price..??

Cheers

Im afraid this is completely untrue. The bushings are actually ok. The cars has quite noisy tappets and no amount of oil will quieten them. The heater matrix will be going in the next couple of weeks and the synchro mesh in the gearbox is going.

The stereo system incl speakers, head unit, cd changer, is worth about 400-500 euro max as they are quite a few years old!!

Some people have no conscience and will do anything for a quick buck!!

Obviously not somebody who's on here..

I'd say if somebodt else wants the car make them an offer for 950 and see what happens.. ;-)
