Back from bodyshop...

Postby Neil » Thu Oct 13, 2005 8:34 am

Just had the following done -
- Topmix front splitter
- Version R spoiler
- Clear Facelift lights
- Clear side repeaters
- Replaced front grill
and Im very happy with the result I have to say, worth the atrocious wait in the end.

Nice, looks a good job after.

Had to put mine on hold for the moment, the halos on the lights I was going to use for the indicators turned out to be a 'bluey-white' and didn't match the other ones. I have another set ordered to see if they're any better. I'm getting shipped off to the states for next week too, so once the new lights are there when I get back I'll do it then.

Looks excellent Neil, how did the lads get on with the lights in the end?

That is a very tasty looking FTO indeed.

Really like the facelift lights in classic front look.

It was a nightmare by the sounds of things!

The lightholes were pretty much no use in the state I got them in (No offense to Jay) as they looked like they were supposed to fit on the front which turned out to be completely impossible so the lads ended up cutting a good few inches around the edges of them off completely, and then inserting the part that was left into the standard bumper from the back of it, and then blending.
They did a absolutely bang-on job in the end, but the complications meant it got pricey...

no offence taken m8 they are made that way so u can do exactly wat u did best to have to much an have to cut it off to fit than me to cut too much off the holes so u have gaps around to fill.
thats why i supply them too big with plenty to cut away so the bodyshop has loads to play with for the perfect fit u got i think they look top m8 well done.

Wow that looks tasty!

How much did you end up forking out to the bodyshop lads? (if you don't mind me asking)
