Q re: Private UK plates

The FTO im buying has a personalised 'FTO' plate, which I plan to sell to get back some of the price of the car...

Does anybody have any idea what these things usually go for?
Or how to go about selling it / transfering it ?

And most importantly, will things get messed up with the plate / plate sale if I register the car here first / aswell??

FTO plates usually go for anywhere between £250 and £500 depending on the plate. as for selling it, you will have to contact the DVLA and get the plate put on retention, then you can sell it however you like but your best bet is probably e-bay
