Going GOLD (well more like bronze) , yey or ney ?

Postby Sebastian » Sat May 08, 2010 12:12 am

summer is coming , so I've planned a few small bits and pieces to do on the car .

I've recently found a gold set of rims on a black FTO and I think it looks deadly , so should I do mine like that or keep them silver ? What you people think

Poll added .

Personally I wouldn't, I'd say leave well enough alone.
I've only seen one black FTO with gold wheels and I wasn't too gone on them.

Leave them silver. Gold wheels might have been cool on imprezas 15 years ago but not on an fto now.

I'd be more inclined to say go a darker gun-metal colour rather than gold.

I'd leave them silver myself although the shade of gold you picked actually doesn't look too bad.

The ones Bernard posted are way too gold, yours almost look bronze?

If you like them, go for it

The shade of gold pictured in the first post would be the only one I'd go for , not the yellowish gold

Seb, bronze is the new gold, go bronze. I had a set of Rota Torques in bronze on the VR-4, I reckon they really suit a black car (I should have gone up to 18's mind you)

not gold! bronze! lee has rota torques on the evo. Bronze on yellow doesnt sound right but it so works!
I agree bronze is the new gold..... nearly did mine bronze when i was refurbing! decided against is at the last min tho cause lees sister has a red DC5 with bronze wheels carbon bonnet and spoiler.... didnt want to be too similar to hers!
