Uprated droplinks?

Postby Bernard » Mon May 25, 2009 11:35 am

I had the car in the garage the other day for a minor service and I was advised (after a little confusion) to replace my front droplinks.
I had a look for them on Camskill and found these: http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s10p14944

Given that I now have a legitimate excuse to upgrade  I was wondering what the consensus was, are they much of an improvement over the standard (1/4 the price) parts?

The standard ones are not long lasting. I got them from camskill and they only lasted about a year and a half!
Either way, since polyurethene lasts at least four times longer, its worth four times the price. Regardless of preformance, it will mean not having to replace them a year and a half later!!

they look a lot easier to install than the standard ones, 2 normal spanners would do it. you can also shorten them to suit your suspension setup

I ordered them last night but got a mail from Camskill this morning saying they're out of stock until the end of June
I should be grand 'til then though.

All I'm lacking is the time, space, tools and know-how... besides the bushes are meant to be a female dog.
(Dropping subframes- no thanks).

Sorry I never closed this off, yes Muad, big difference.
I'm not sure how much was the bushes and how much was the droplinks but the car felt way tighter afterwards.

If you're thinking about a set for yourself, I'd confirm stock before you order.
I was waiting for ages, not Camskill's fault but still...
